Jacob is a Fire Management Specialist, where he specializes in the planning and implementation of prescribed fire, student workforce development, and UAS operations. His background spans natural resources and wildland fire management, with experience supporting collaborative approaches to complex land management challenges. Jacob also serves as the advisor for the University of Montana Student Association of Fire Ecology and Management (Fire Club). In addition to his work at the FireCenter, he is conducting social science research related to private landowner motivations and decision-making around the use of prescribed fire. Driven by a passion for community engagement and conservation, he is an active volunteer and enjoys mentoring students.
